September 3, 2021
We are right around the corner of the start of our 2021-2022 Hockey Season! We had a great kickoff weekend with our first events of the season, the GT Performance Power Skating and LMH Skills & Drills Camps taking place in Landmark on August 28th & 29th. It was great to see all the faces back at the rink and the players on the ice. I would like to take the opportunity to thank our Development Committee for their many efforts over the past three months of planning our strategy and direction for the upcoming season, which included this past weekend. Along with that group of dedicated members I would like to thank our other volunteers who gave up their time to support the on-ice camps.
The Lorette Arena ice is expected to be completed in the next week and ready for the 11th of September. We have planned Rust Busters September 11th – 19th, there will be names added to teams on TeamLinkt and circulated prior to and schedules posted on our website and Facebook as well once finalized. These skates are great opportunity to get back on the ice, especially after such a long time away from the rink, and to prepare for the upcoming evaluations for most divisions. The coaches on the ice will spend time walking through similar practice plans that the evaluators will use.
The upcoming communications you can expect, which may be segmented out to those specific groups that require the information are as follows:
U15 AA Tryouts
Arena Protocol
LMH Evaluation planning/timing
Development Committee – Coach Communication/planning
U15 Non-Contact
If you have any questions in the meantime, please reach out.
Regards,
Dan Gilbertson
President Lorette Minor Hockey
